Lambs Conduit Passage

As far as we can find Lambs Conduit Passage was originally built by William Lamb back in the 16th century or thereabouts, a philanthropic act to get water from the local springs to the residents of Lambs Fields. He also purchased 400 pails (buckets) for the water to be carried.

Today the passage is home to some classic London characters from The Dolphin Tavern and its clock that survived the Blitz to some of the tastiest food in town and now Holborns independent specialty coffee.
